IVRS - Interactive Voice Response System for Karnataka High Court


This system provides Advocates / Litigants to know their case status through the telephone by dialing any one of the following numbers.

                    080 - 22869547 or 080 - 22869548

When you dial any of these two numbers, you will be asked to dial
a) 1 for English
b) 2 for Kannada
c) 3 if you know the 11 digit IVRS code

(Note: If you are first dialing 0 to get the dial tone in your phone, then press * then press 1,2 or 3 to proceed)

The First two options are Normal mode operations                    

1.     Normal Mode

This mode provides the user to know the status of their case by selecting suitable Category, Case Type, Case Number and Case Year. Please follow the instructions over phone.

Please note that using the normal mode, you can get the case status of only certain main case types whereas if you know the 11 digit IVRS code you can get the status of any type of case

2.    IVRS Mode

Each case will be identified by a unique 11 digit code number. This code number comprises of 3 parts.

Second Part :

This part refers to Case Number of the case. The case number must be represented by 5 digits.

For example, Case Number 123 is represented as '00123', 10 is '00010' and so on.

Third Part :

This part refers to Case Year of the case. It is represented by 4 digits.

For any case the IVRS code is formed by the combination of these three parts.

Example - 1 : the IVRS code for CRP. 16 of 2000 is

    13 00016 2000 ( 13 - CRP, 00016 is case number 16, 2000 is case year 2000)

Example - 2 : the IVRS code for WA. 252 of 2007 is

    54 00252 2007 ( 54 - WA, 00252 is case number 252, 2007 is case year 2007)

Example - 3 : the IVRS code for WP. 12152 of 2007 is

    55 12152 2007 ( 55 - WP, 12152 is case number 12152, 2007 is case year 2007)

Example - 4 : the IVRS code for CRL.P. 1252 of 1998 is

    50 01252 1998 ( 50 - CRL.P, 01252 is case number 1252, 1998 is case year 1998)
